Equator, 2019-09-11. Crossing the line !

We are moving at a good pace on an excellent road towards the equator. A road full of bends that winds through the impressive equatorial forest, climbing and descending through hills and valleys. As a result, although riding at a good average, we are only approaching the equator very slowly, minute by minute. Only 10 minutes at 2:57 p.m., 5 minutes at 3:09 p.m., one minute at 3:19 p.m.…. I'm talking about north latitude minutes, of course!
At 3 o'clock 21 minutes and 25 seconds, that's it, we cross the equator. Eleven years, to the day, after taking possession of our new motorhome with its empty cabin at MaBu in Bochum, we are bringing it across the equator for the first time!

Unfortunately, there are no more signs pointing in our direction. We turn around to come back and take some pictures in front of what remains of the panel in the other direction. We are certainly not the first. These are photos that go around the world on social networks and I really do not understand why the authorities do not take more care of these signs which, in the state they are, do not give a flattering image of the country. But that's not our problem!
