2021-03-05 : Franschhoek, le Coind des Francais. 300 Huguenots fleeing repression in France were brought here by the Dutch at the end of the 17th century to colonize the Cape hinterland. They have developed a wine-making activity there that has endured for generations. There is a very French flair there.
We (Christine and Thierry Dupin) are realizing an old dream that since August 31, 2018 has become reality: a world tour in 80 months with Gandalf, our motorhome. An Iveco Daily 4x4 that has already taken us to Tunisia, Morocco, Iceland, Iran, the Emirates and Oman, Wales, Ireland, Senegal, Gambia and North Cape. The departure took place on August 31, 2018 from our village, Illmensee, not far from Lake Constance. Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany.
