We spent ten days in Lome with a long time friend and his family. John, Tanty and their lovely little girl.

The cabinet is also a center of life for the family who spends a lot of time there. For example to prepare meals, which always takes a lot of time in Africa.

Tanty also does a bit of business with Wax. This cotton textile having received on both sides a wax polish (a technique similar to the Javanese batik). Our friends let us choose the pattern to make custom clothes.

Tanty's aunt is a seamstress. She is the one who will sew Christine's dresses in her "Haute Couture" workshop.

We visit the famous fetish market in Lomé. A voodoo market where the main actors are Beninese. Now a tourist attraction more than a traditional market. Few Togolese don't come here anymore to buy their "medicine" from voodoo sorcerers.

The big market of Lomé is worth spending a few hours there. You can find anything there. Even the cathedral of the city erected by the Germans more than a century ago in 1902.

We were allowed to camp on the parking lot of the horse center of Lome after having lunch there (we eat very well in a nice place).

Before getting back on the road, I need to repair a leaking front brake cylinder.
John watches me with interest. Always ready to learn for his workshop project.
