2018-09-28: A wild nature in the heights above Alicante conducive to a geocaching walk.

Here's the story: there is a so-called multi-cache at the North Cape in Norway at the northern tip of Europe.
We were there in June last year and found the answers of the different stages, which allowed us to calculate the coordinates of the final (that is to say where is hidden the final box). And surprise: the final is in the heights above Alicante in Spain some 3950 km from the North Cape.

And since it's practically on our way to Africa we're making the detour. Access is not easy by a narrow winding road that we follow about ten kilometers between forests and mountains.We do not regret. Not only do we find the box - YEAH - but we discover a beautiful natural area where we made a nice walk that will allow us to collect a score of additional caches.

2018. Une nature sauvage au-dessus d’Alicante incitant à un circuit pédestre de géocaching.
Ça n’est pas par
hasard que nous sommes ici aujourd’hui, mais sans géocaching il ne nous serait
jamais venu à l’idée de faire ce détour et de venir nous perdre ici.
Pour ceux qui ne
connaissent pas géocaching sachez simplement qu’il s’agit d’une chasse au
trésor moderne qui combine recherche sur internet et recherche sur le terrain.

Voici
l’histoire : il existe ce qu’on appelle une multi-cache au Cap Nord en
Norvège à l’extrémité nord de l’Europe. Nous y étions en juin l’an dernier et
avons trouvé les réponses des différentes étapes, ce qui nous a permis de
calculer les coordonnées du final (c’est-à-dire là où est cachée la boîte
finale). Et surprise : le final se trouve dans les hauteurs au-dessus
d’Alicante en Espagne à quelques 3950 km du Cap Nord.
Et puisque c’est
pratiquement sur notre route pour l’Afrique nous faisons le détour. L’accès
n’est pas facile par une étroite route sinueuse que nous suivons sur une dizaine
de kilomètres entre forêts et montagne.
Nous ne
regrettons pas. Non seulement nous trouvons bien la boîte – YEAH - mais nous
découvrons une très belle zone naturelle où nous allons faire une belle
promenade qui va nous permettre de collecter une vingtaine de caches
supplémentaires.
Nous y passons la
nuit dans une solitude et un calme absolus.

ist kein Zufall, dass wir heute hier sind, aber ohne Geocaching wäre es
uns nie eingefallen, diesen Umweg zu machen und uns hier zu verlieren.

Hier ist die Geschichte: Es gibt einen sogenannten Multi-Cache am Nordkap in Norwegen an der Nordspitze Europas.Wir waren dort im Juni letzten Jahres und fanden die Antworten der verschiedenen Stationen, somut konnten wir die Koordinaten des Finales berechnen (das heißt, wo die eigentliche Box versteckt ist). Und Überraschung: Das Finale liegt in den Höhen über Alicante in Spanien etwa 3950 km vom Nordkap entfernt.
Und da es praktisch auf unserem Weg nach Afrika liegt, machen wir den Umweg. Die Zufahrt durch eine enge kurvige Straße ist nicht einfach, der wir etwa zehn Kilometer zwischen Wäldern und Bergen folgen.
Wir bedauern es
nicht. Wir
finden nicht nur die Dose - YEAH -, sondern entdecken auch eine wunderschöne
Naturlandschaft, wo wir einen schönen Spaziergang machen konnten, der es
uns ermöglichen wird, eine ganz Reihe weiterer Caches zu sammeln.
